Years ago, women, especially royalty, were hidden behind a veil (purdah). They could watch court proceedings and other activities, but never be seen by any men other that the males in their immediate family.…At the Amber fort in Jaipur, we stood behind the latticed window that the women of the court used to get their view of the Kingdom’s daily happenings.This is their point of view.
