Couldn’t post yesterday’s project 365 image because earlier in the day I watched the mastero – Scott Detweiler at work and saw him blend a composite together with such fineness. I am not about to achieve any such standard in one night, however I would still love to know some best practices for blending an image with say a texture in the background.

Anyone?

  1. For my 366 project I am actually trying to avoid most photoshop. Straight out of the camera (SOOC) are noted on them so far, but I am sure a few will be processed if I shoot them for someone and decide to use them for the daily shot. I will apply minor lightroom fixes, but so far no photoshop.

The best practice varies from person to person. I know RC Concepcion thought I did things in a unique way when he watched me during a hangout, but I am sure everyone has a style that shows up in their final product.

  2. Thanks for the response Scott Detweiler … Needed a certain scene for my Project 365 image y’day, so was toying around. I’m hoping you wouldn’t mind repeating a little of the texture blending that you did in y’day’s hangout. Here or in your next hangout. Appreciate all the time you give us and your immense contribution to the photography community. Cheerz.

  3. I do that in all of he hangouts for the most part. I am not sure I will have one today, but I will send you an invite when I have my next one. I also have a chapter on it in my book which should be out this month.
