A few months ago, I noticed the shadow of this elephant and knew I would shoot it one day.

Took out my flash and controller, darkened the room and realised I couldn’t focus because of the lack of light, so Phone Torch to the rescue, off I went trying to picture what I had in mind. What was supposed to be 1 quick image turned out to be 47 instead.

Halfway through I realised the shadow wasn’t as large or as interesting as I wanted it to be. Experimenting with backgrounds and the placement of the flash, finally discarding the flash in favour of the harsh phone light, I ended up with this.

The last thought I had was … sometimes we feel our problems are larger than life… maybe, just maybe, we just have to see them in a different light.
