A wee bit of mystery
She never stops talking,
yet the more I listen to her,
the more there is to discover about her!
In times of #MeToo, “Pink Stinks“ and gendered Marketing.
In times of gender equality in words but inequality in actions.
In times of the push to shatter the glass ceiling.
We, a female and male artist create images of #female_things through which we make a statement about what femininity means to each of us.

Wonderful new entry. I so love it!!!
Heiko Mahr … Thank you so much 😀
Heiko Mahr +Lucille Galilei We women love our tiny treasurers. Are we remembering when women were wise to protect their secrets? When tokens could be taken for talisman or witch’s tool? When our power, struggling to stay alive, had to be hidden? When the practice of feminine power could mean being cast out…torture…or even death? It could be that mystery is safer…a place to hide as we wait for better odds. Mystery gave us then and gives us now a way to hide our power in full sight…perhaps designed into some curious bauble notated with Chopin’s airs, glistening with gold rick-rack, and hung on Winter’s magical tree just as the sun begins its return journey and darkness gives way to light.
Sandra Nesbit … excellently put. Glad you brought it up. These gorgeous masks do have a shaded history.
Somehow I’ve never related mystery to hiding. Mystery to me is something that’s always beyond reach, a ripple that is sensed on the surface, but it’s origin is always concealed.
It’s being there for all to see, but being away simultaneously.
