I’m in… how about you?
Originally shared by Alan Shapiro
Hey, Corey, I picked this for you. Remember: March 1st is coming up
There are times when having a lot of people following you has it’s benefits…this is one of those times. Please help me make someone’s day…way beyond spectacular.
I am fortunate enough to be a part of a very special person’s life. Read the attachment below and you’ll see how special. What you can’t see (but I assure you is there) is her tenacity, her strength, her force of nature.
Go ahead. Please read it (for all it represents)…I’ll wait.

A G+ love letter.
I’m pretty sure 80% of you reading this are aware of my level of disability (bed-bound, brain damaged.) I don’t bring this up in search of sympathy, but to make the following statement reads the way I hope it does.
You guys are my eyes, my ears and my window to the world. From +Gianmario Scotti’s dedications throughout his WinterMusic cycles to a recent PhotoWalk arranged by +John Butterill, +Rogier Rood, +Andy Unknown etc.
And there’s always the firm reassurance from +M Monica that I’m not alone…
The problem with naming names is that there are too many of you. Some are old and true friends (+Ricky Buchanan, I’m looking at you, love), some I’ve encountered since stumbling into beta, some are very old friends rediscovered (Karyn, Kelly, etc.)
Some inspire me with both their artistry and their kindness +Alan Shapiro, +Mike Shaw. +helen sotiriadis, +Lee Daniels — that list could go on and on and on. Assume that if you can read this, you’re on it.
There are the readers, the gamers and the folks I just plain like and enjoy — +Howard C. Shaw III, +Julia Robertson, +Ann G, the infamous +Bliss Morgan– look, I know I’m missing a metric ton of you, You, the folks with your +1s and your warm welcomes into your world.
Thank you for giving me a world beyond my pain. For making it possible for me to have an answer to +Colin Gerbode’s, “How was your day, sweetie?” that’s more than just, “I survived.”
Thank you, sweet people.

Now here’s what I’d like everyone to help me with:
On March 1st I’d like everyone to share a photo (or drawing or bit of writing) from their lives that represents “Joy” to them…an extra-wonderful moment they experienced. a favorite place, a special meal, a sunset, a beach, a loved companion (with skin, fur, scales or whatever), a visual or verbal or multimedia prayer, haiku or limerick…something, anything that makes you smile and appreciate your world.
I’d like it to be your visual answer to “How was your day, sweetie?” (And I am hoping it represents something far more than “I survived” because “far more” is how +C. Corey Fisk views her world.
I want to give her lots to look at.
Way lots.
Enough to look at that she is busy for days, weeks, months.
She has shared so much of her world with us…a world of hope and joys and little pleasures. It seems only right that we show her the joy in all of our world’s. I want her to take a world tour from her bed. And I hope that this will be something we all cherish and take joy from.
Please help me…by sharing this note to get the word out and by sharing a single moment (or album, video, song or performance if you are so inclined) with her.
Let’s make this a G+ love letter right back to C. Corey Fisk
Add the hashtag #HowWasYourDaySweetie and mark your calendars for March 1st.
