India is known for it’s temples and spirituality and although this place is known as a temple, it’s not a consecrated since the stupas of this monolithic structure are still connected to the bedrock.
The structure itself, an amazing specimen of Dravidian architecture, has several pieces left incomplete, but still remains awe inspiring. If ever you visit Mahabalipuram town in South India, make sure you pay this Unesco World Heritage site a visit.
