Assignment 3 Photo 1/2
I’m in love!
I’ve been following Rosie Nixon’s work for quite some time now. I appreciated it, envied it a bit too, but never did I consider the technique behind it. I always believed she sprayed on some Rosie Magic and Voilá!
The past two weeks have been hectic, heartbreaking, exhilarating and confounding in exhausting measures. I still have an assignment from week 3 pending. However, once I read about Multiple Exposure, all I could do was shoot!
This one was done in-camera. Miles to go before I get anywhere near the gorgeous examples the moderators have presented, but thanks to this I now see my favourite genre of photography, getting a new life!

This great! Lovely colors, the soft blur goes wonderful with the delicate flower. And I like the framing very much!
Thanks a bunch, Corinna Rössling
Beautiful, I love the delicate textures and light! There’s still Rosie Magic that I’m not sure can ever be explained, but there’s Lucille Magic happening as well 🙂
Really lovely soft blurry feeling created with the multi exposure shot.
P.S. I saw a fountain in my email, but I can’t find it in the community. Did you take that down, or am I missing it somewhere?
Ha ha … thanks a bunch Alex Lapidus… I’m hoping I’ll finally master some spells. Since this was shot in camera, I didn’t get to trash some photos from the final result. Will try doing it manually 😀 can’t wait!
Thanks a bunch Jane Levine 😀 I shoot these flowers every year … so glad I get to do it differently this time 😀
Yes Alex Lapidus… I’ve taken it down. Didn’t feel right putting up a mediocre shot when everyone (including the moderators) are making such a huge effort. I’ll work on water/clouds and lights streaks a bit more.
Beautiful soft colors! Very well done!
This is beautiful, Lucille! You’ve added motion and new dimensions to the flower. I like how it evolves from sharp in the corner to a little soft to almost translucent around the edges. What a great first experiment with in camera ME!
Splendid! I love the softness of the picture, the textures are so wonderful! The negative space triggers imagination!
Such a pretty soft image.
Simply gorgeous.
The colours and the light really make this a standout image!
Ha ha, you’re very modest. You don’t have miles to go, cause there’s no where to go, you’re in your own space and this is gorgeous! That lighting, the brightness in the background, the top right connecting with the flower, this has everything.
Stunning image!
Thanks much, Karen Migliaccio
Thanks a bunch, Margrit Schwarz. Most of this image was accidental learning (the best kind of learning IMHO).
So glad you think so, Françoise Dhulesia 😀 much appreciated.
Thanks a bunch Laurie Clouthier and Cathy Custer Donohoue.
Thanks a ton, Su Buehler 😀
Thanks for such supportive, motivational words Edward Norton. So glad you enjoy this image. It’s quite special to me!
Thank you Cheryl Day 😀
It’s a stunner! Multiple exposure added to the ethereal feel; the softness and light work so well to suggest the fragility of the flower! Love this one 🙂
Karolina Trapp … Thanks a million. Kind words to wake up to.
Gorgeous Lucille Galleli!! Your image seems to take on a life of its own!! :))
So peaceful
Thanks Nikhil Maurya
Thanks a bunch, Carmen Mandich 😀
