Assignment 4 Photo 1/1

Assignment 4 Photo 1/1

Been a very busy weekend for me, I didn’t get to shoot much, but I did take time to try the Haunted effect ๐Ÿ™‚

My humble attempt at depicting death and the soul moving on…

  1. Very powerful. I looked at his on my phone an hour ago and couldn’t work out anything other than the bed, picture and two standing ‘ghosts’.It looked like three ghosts, but I wrongly assumed the first was sitting on the side of the bed. It took me ages to realise that you’re lying on the bed and the ‘shroud’ is your knee. I was convinced that was your shoulder or something draped over your bowed head. Serious delay!

  2. I had same reaction as Edward Norton and PK Donson -:) Must be the small screen…. But, once the image reveals itself, it is very powerful (even without your description….)

  3. Thanks much, Edward Norton. You comment made me realise that I need to pay attention to the costume bit as well. It just happened to be what I was wearing that day and I didn’t concentrate much on how it would photograph. Strangely, this idea has always been one I wanted to try out, but never contemplated achieving via a Ghost effect. Am so glad you like the image ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve always wanted to make images that evoke a strong response… your reaction made my day!

  4. Thanks Jenn Camforth… pretty much forever. I will go back and do this one again and hopefully better.

I’d like the body to be a bit more substantial than the souls.

  5. Thanks much, Cathy Custer Donohoue… like I was just telling Jenn, I’d like the body to be a little stronger to give the impression of a cadaver. So glad you like it.
