Week 2- Setting the Stage/Simplification 2/3

Moments later the sun was out. Loved the sharp shadows.

  1. It’s really interesting to see the difference between the direct sunlight and the softer lighting in your first image where the clouds created a soft box effect. The red of your subject draws my eye and she is wearing the complementary colours, red and green creating more impact. Nice use of shadow and light Lucille Galleli

  2. Lucille Galleli The contrast is such a wonderful difference from your first image. It makes the dark figures in the orange area pop. The light is spectacular not only for the shadows but also for the lines of light and dark on your subject.

  3. I really am enjoying the stronger shadows cast by the pillars and I like the isolation of the subject as well as her close proximity to you – I like seeing half of her bathed in sunlight. As much as I love your colors did you try anything with black and white? How did you feel about it if you did? Sometimes the monochromatic scheme enhances the light patterns in a very nice fashion. Only a question.. Lucille Galleli

  4. I love the rich colours and high contrast to the scene. You waited for the woman to come into the sun and her head is offset against a darker background so it really helps her pop and draw attention towards her and as Teresa indicates the colour contrasts work too. Wonderful shot and great location.
