It’s really interesting to see the difference between the direct sunlight and the softer lighting in your first image where the clouds created a soft box effect. The red of your subject draws my eye and she is wearing the complementary colours, red and green creating more impact. Nice use of shadow and light Lucille Galleli
Lucille Galleli The contrast is such a wonderful difference from your first image. It makes the dark figures in the orange area pop. The light is spectacular not only for the shadows but also for the lines of light and dark on your subject.
I really am enjoying the stronger shadows cast by the pillars and I like the isolation of the subject as well as her close proximity to you – I like seeing half of her bathed in sunlight. As much as I love your colors did you try anything with black and white? How did you feel about it if you did? Sometimes the monochromatic scheme enhances the light patterns in a very nice fashion. Only a question.. Lucille Galleli
I love the rich colours and high contrast to the scene. You waited for the woman to come into the sun and her head is offset against a darker background so it really helps her pop and draw attention towards her and as Teresa indicates the colour contrasts work too. Wonderful shot and great location.
Stephanie Cassiday-Krueger … Thanks much. I shot other locations keeping B&W in mind. I did try a couple of shots in B&W at this spot, will add it to the comments.
Lucille Galleli Just as beautiful as your color images – the location lends itself to color – but I love how the light reacts in the panels here in the BW. Great Lucille!!!
teresa pilcher .. thanks much. Loved the old man. Next time I’m going to shoot from the other direction, since most vendors seemed to move in the opposite direction.

A great use of contrasts between light and shadows.
Lovely Shapes and shadows. She is also wearing complimentary colors which stand out. The whole scene shares the color scheme.

Lucille Galleli what Stephanie said! Lovely light and the guitar adds a nice touch to the story.
Stephanie Cassiday-Krueger … True that. This spot had potential in more way than one 😀 I should try and visit it again 🙂
